I have zero issue with this, globally speaking. Folks want to keep a fish or two for dinner, that's awesome. But it drives me nuts when folks follow the trucks or do the whole, limit out, go home, come back, limit out, go home, come back routine. The comment about the EB swift is what got me to post. Love that river, grew up on it and love it.

Its been solid this year... and hopefully this higher water from this weeks rain will spread the fish out making it fish well longer. Will Knoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5461245170077475695.post-22286627764145215012011-05-11T10:28:22.833-04:002011-05-11T10:28:22.833-04:00Ham...that was a nice coincidence....too bad we di...Ham...that was a nice coincidence....too bad we didn't meet up with more fish. We shouldn't be concerned about not catching early season 'bows simply because they are nothing more than a temporary fishing fix. The big picture is a season long fishery on our rivers with a species that actually SURVIVES through the Summer.

The "study" is coming along nicely. Keep the data flowing!! I was got back to my car and realized that my tip section to my rod got pulled off and was laying on the ground somewhere between my car and the gorge pool...a walked back to look for it but it was getting dark and I didn't find it. I am going to go after work to look again, but if anyone happens to find it, I would appreciate it if you could put leave it against the TU kiosk.
BTW, got a few nice browns and a rainbow last night.
Thanks,
EricEricnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5461245170077475695.post-23336500915034819402011-05-07T11:54:26.610-04:002011-05-07T11:54:26.610-04:00...all browns....all browns.Petenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5461245170077475695.post-80934825678900933712011-05-07T11:53:24.813-04:002011-05-07T11:53:24.813-04:00Good luck with the guiding, Ken.

Anyone know if they float stocked it down into Athol or just dumped them in. Thats too bad about the EB of the Swift, I didnt get a chance to fish it this year. Up here in NH the stocking especially for the FFO areas can be pathetic and thats being nice. Guess things are going too well south of the border either.Tomnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5461245170077475695.post-2680113897953668042011-05-06T10:26:49.495-04:002011-05-06T10:26:49.495-04:00Well,

This way, once they stock for the remainder stocking season, we will have fish to catch....
Nah, not gonna happen..THose bastrds are blood thirsty...

The poor Quinnie and EB of the Swift, Assabet, TB, all all our favortites are almost CLEANED of fish...PITIFUL...double digit days were common last year on these impoundments...not the case this year....Christopher Takacshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10696305567015648373noreply@blogger.com
