It is a fantastic river. I somehow found the Cable Pool and worked my way down below where the river splits by a large island. The water looked great, but nothing came to my fly. Great pocket waters, pools and riffles. I was very surprised I had no action at all. I ran into someone from the north shore and we fished it pretty hard, but nothing. After quick lunch, he showed me the Power Pool. The water was a bit high, but I did have pretty good luck there. I picked up three browns, two about 18"s and one a bit smaller at around 15". They were caught on 26 BWOs.

Overall, it was a good introduction to Millers.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12408689269395338140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5461245170077475695.post-9504036916366073812010-05-02T17:49:57.781-04:002010-05-02T17:49:57.781-04:00For Bears Den you will have to drive in from Gulf ...For Bears Den you will have to drive in from Gulf Road in the Royalston side of the river. I fished from noon to 3-ish in Wendell below the trestle and above right under the road bridges. There were quite a few people there. Talked to one guy who was getting out when i was gearing up who said no luck. One other older fellow who had no luck. Two others were working below me, i didn't see them get anything. I had two fish on, both rainbows from below the road bridge. No hits below the trestle bridge. First fish came off the hook and second broke off. dropped down to 5x and didnt get any other takes. I think tried to find the bears den with no success. Ended up being a long drive across MA. Took 202 back to Amherst from Athol. Some nice scenery along that road.

jUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04627838661448152521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5461245170077475695.post-79649519169567270292010-04-30T22:10:32.503-04:002010-04-30T22:10:32.503-04:00Adrian,

I looked on Google map and noticed a bridge crossing the river just outside Farley on Bridge St. Is this where Cable/Diamond Farm Pool is? If so, how is the parking situation and any other recommendations on catch and release sections would be much appreciated.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12408689269395338140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5461245170077475695.post-72243300241535361112010-04-30T08:17:03.665-04:002010-04-30T08:17:03.665-04:00Ahh, I've always considered that the "dia...Ahh, I've always considered that the "diamond farm" pool.
