Ware Were We Fishing?

"Fly fishing guide Ken Elmer advocates exploring the entire .5 miles of water between the Route 9 bridge and the Pipe which he says "has more character than the year-round catch-and-release area, but is seldom fished by most fly fishers....Elmer's most favored flies are uncomplicated and impressionistic: a few turns of thread or dubbing can often go a long way." - Christophe Perez, Eastern Fly Fishing Magazine- January/February 2014

Ware did we find rising trout ? Ware did we we catch willing chunk-bows whacking comparaduns and snowshoe hare emergers? Ware did we fish ware we saw no other fly fishers?

If you haven't figured it out yet take up golf!!  If you want in........

Book me for a May or June evening to get in on this action!!

Ken

The ware has been fishing well now that the flows are more manageable, I've hit it after work a few times and ive yet to be skunked, couple of nice smallies mixed in too. I can say that the brookies were in full force in bondsville this weekend. 2 hour trip yielded 6 fish ALL were in the riffles, absolutely no luck in the calmer sections which surprised me a bit.

Thanks for the update; is this mystery river wadable yet?

Fooled 8 bows this morning on the WB with a #14 small black stone and #10 BH nymph. Good weather for a change, plus I had the whole river to myself. The river was also alive with bugs and the flow under 200 cfs but nothing rising.

Gary,

I haven't done well on the WB. They said that they stocked it last Wednesday but even the truck chasers don't bother!!

Johnson,

Very wadable!

Ryan,

That would be a mystery!
