Just a short post on the Millers and the Ware Rivers. Both rivers were stocked this past week and the flows are perfect. The Ware got a helping of browns and should receive more fish this week. With these rivers plus the EB and Swift all flowing well and producing action you have plenty of places to go in the next week. I'm going to try to hit the Millers and the Swift. With nice low flows a Partridge and Orange should do the trick.
Winter is around the corner!!

What about the upper Millers. Never fished there before. Ty
Ty,
You must mean the Bears Den Section. It's not on the Fall stocking list but I've done well up there in the past. I don't know how it held up over this past summer.

Went to the Swift on Monday (along with huge numbers of everyone else, except perhaps those who knew better--I should have). 20 cars on Route 9, drove past and headed down River Street. 3 cars that I could see at the first turn off (usually none); 3 cars in front of me turning off for the Tree Pool. Drove by. One car at Cady Lane; things looked promising. As I was suiting up, four young men walked in wearing full camouflage and carrying 12-gauges. I asked what they were after---ducks. Got back in the car, and became the 21st car on Route 9. People tromping through every pool I walked by. Didn't catch fish, but didn't get shot, either. Word to the wise---if you are in any woodland river or stream, don't forget your orange.

Charles,
Happy Columbus or Indigenous Peoples Day on the Swift!!!
Yes, there's hunting down there which seems too close to the houses. Plus those ducks are almost tame.

Looks like the upper Millers hasn’t been stocked yet. Not sure why.
